The EPL (English Premier League)
The English Premier League, better known as EPL, is a football league competition comprising 20 competitors or teams. EPL, the Premier League if you like, is England’s top-flight league. The league operates on a promotion and relegation basis within the EFL – English Football league. Usually, the league runs from August to May.
In the EPL, each team plays a total of 38 matches, whereby 19 are played at home and 19 away. Like any other football league around the globe, most matches are played during the weekend – Saturday and Sunday. However, due to continental competitions like the UCL and Europa League, some matches are pushed to midweek to allow league completion in the predetermined month.
Manchester City is the current epl champion 2021/22 season.
